If there is one skill that I gained from METSA that I will never forget, it is how to IMPROVISE and most importantly, NEVER GIVE UP. If I truly want/need something, I know that I am more than capable of and willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen and not lose that opportunity. This is where fundraising comes in.

A majority of my junior and senior year was spent fundraising for various clubs and activities for school. As the treasurer of my choir, I learned of many methods and opportunities to get people involved and interested in what is going on. Because fundraising is half raising awareness and half raising money, I developed a lot of what I would consider marketing skills. From my Capstone project with my partner to my FastTrack Club and Choir, I did all that I could to help us accomplish our goals and keep money from being a setback. One of the major achievements was through Capstone in which my partner and I raised all of the money ourselves and even turned to social media (as seen below) to reach our goals.
