While projects play an important role in METSA, our final grades in each of our curricular classes are also very important. Our course grades are mostly determined by our mastery of academic content which is reflected through individual course grades, standardized tests, and project grades. With a GPA of 3.7, I am very proud of the curricular literacy that I have tried to maintain throguhout my high school experience. I plan to only continue this into college and work hard to improve my testing and studying skills in my final year of high school. METSA allowed the students to take the PSAT not one year, but all 3 years leading up to the actual SAT. This greatly helped me to learn the areas that I need to work on as well as what type of test taker I am. It takes a lot of altering and self discover to learn what studying skills and strategies work best for your brain, but thanks to METSA, I was allowed to experiment and effectively improve those aspects of my curriculm.
