Housing
UT Dallas: The University of Texas at Dallas provides suite style housing where three roommates have seperate rooms but share a common living area. It supplies each individual student with their own personal living quarters/bedroom and a shared bathroom, living room, and kitchen area.
UT Austin: The University of Texas at Austin provides freshman with various choices for a dormatory. The cheapiest option is a co-ed unit with a traditional dorm set-up of a shared space between two people. They have a common space for bathrooms that is also shared amongst residents. Another reasonable option is their same-gender unit with a typical shared living and bedding space as well as bathroom quarters.
Financial Aid
UT Dallas: The University of Texas at Dallas is the most expensive public university in the state of Texas with a tuition averaging $27,000 but they also provide the most scholarships to their students as they have no need for money for things such as a Division 1 of NCAA team. As a part of the top ten percent of my class, I received a $600 scholarship to the University. On top of this scholarship, I received a $3,000/ semester Academic Excellence Scholarship.
UT Austin: Unfortunately, my FAFSA yielded no grants or loans from the government so I was left with only the $600 top ten percent scholarship.
In The End...
UT Dallas Wins!
